I am enjoying another snow day (maybe tomorrow, too, if it keeps coming down like it i right now) by reading Book VI in The Odyssey and rereading Moby Dick. Good stuff and a good way to spend a day. I just want to make sure you are "eating your cow" and doing the work that was assigned last week: memorizing your WW Fenn piece, reading books V & VI of The Odyssey, and writing daily blog posts.
Because of the snow day and my absence due to my surgery on Friday, we will start our in-class competition on Thursday.
When we vote for winners, we choose by nominating whomever we think did and "will do" the best job representing our class. That means that a recitation tomorrow does not have to be perfect--especially if it is a difficult piece--but it does want to be a piece that we (you and me) feel will have the best shot of winning the competition.
It's still snowing...
