The slam will be on Friday, so what you need to do is choose the twelve poems you feel will represent your team the best--and divide that into three groups of four poems. Mix your poems up a bit, so each one does not sound the same. Vary who is the speaker. You do not "have to" recite your own poems--but be sure you "know" your poems well and it sounds like a recitation not a reading. Be sure to look at the crowd--and look like you a re having fun and are engaged in the most important task in your life.

Because you are!

Your final grade will be based on--
  1. Your personal poems as posted on your portfolio. (Be sure to make a poetry site on your portfolio if you do not have one already.) 10 points
  2. The compilation you and your team create: 5 Points
  3. Your performance and attitude in the slam: 5 points
  4. A 500 word minimum reflection about the poetry project and the poetry slam experience posted in your journal. 5 points
  5. Your attire at the slam. 5 Points
